파주시가 행정안전부가 주관한 '2025년 지방세외수입 운영실적 분석 진단 평가'에서 우수기관으로 선정되는 쾌거를 달성했다.
이번 우수기관 선정은 전국 243개 지방자치단체를 대상으로 한 평가에서 이뤄져 그 의미가 더욱 크다.
행정안전부는 지방세외수입의 징수율을 높이고 효율적인 세원 관리를 유도하기 위해 ▲전체 세외수입 징수율 ▲체납 세외수입 징수 노력도 ▲지방행정제재·부과금 징수율 등을 주요 평가 항목으로 적용했다.
특히 파주시는 인구 규모와 인구 증감률, 세출 결산 규모, 재정력 지수 등을 종합 반영한 분류 기준에 따라 대도시가 다수 포함된 '1그룹'으로 분류돼 경쟁이 치열한 가운데서도 체계적인 징수 활동을 통해 우수기관의 영예를 안았다.
파주시의 세외수입 분야 행정력은 이번이 처음이 아니다.
앞서 경기도 주관 세외수입 운영 평가에서도 대상을 수상하며 탁월한 역량을 입증한 바 있어, 지방재정 건전성 강화를 위한 파주시의 노력이 다시 한번 인정받은 셈이다.
파주시 관계자는 "이번 우수기관 선정은 어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 성실히 납세 의무를 다해주신 시민들과 직원들의 적극적인 행정이 만들어낸 결과"라며 "앞으로도 공정하고 투명한 세외수입 운영을 통해 자주재원을 확충하고, 이를 바탕으로 '시민 중심 더 큰 파주'를 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
