대전시의회 운영위원회가 30일 정명국 의원(국민의힘, 동구3)이 대표발의한 '대전광역시의회 기본 조례 일부개정조례안'을 원안대로 통과시켰다.
이번 개정조례는 '대전광역시 행정기구 및 정원 조례' 개정에 따라 신설된 대전충남행정통합준비단을 대전시의회 행정자치위원회 소관으로 명확히 규정하는 내용을 담고 있다.
최근 대전과 충남의 행정통합 논의가 활발히 진행되고 있는 가운데, 이번 조례 개정은 신설 조직의 효율적 운영과 안정적 업무 추진을 위한 의회 차원의 관리·지원 기반 마련을 목표로 한다.
정명국 의원은 “행정기구가 개편되는 상황에서 새 조직의 소관 상임위원회를 정비하는 것은 원활한 행정 현장 운영에 필요한 절차”라며, “이 조례 개정으로 행정통합과 관련된 업무가 체계적으로 관리되고, 의회의 점검과 지원이 한층 강화될 것”이라고 말했다.
개정안은 다음 달 2일 예정된 제292회 임시회 제3차 본회의에서 최종 의결될 예정이다.
