[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] KB국민은행 바둑리그 합천투어 경기가 30일 합천군 영상테마파크 청와대세트장에서 열린 열렸다.
경기는 합천을 연고로 한 수려한합천과 국내 최정상급 팀 GS칼텍스가 맞붙었다.
13라운드 3경기로 치러진 이번 경기는 수려한합천이 GS칼텍스를 3대 2로 승리했다.
경기는 유튜브를 통해 실시간 생중계됐으며, 같은 날 오후 7시 바둑TV를 통해 녹화 방송이 방영돼 전국 바둑 팬들의 관심을 모았다.
합천군은 하찬석국수배 영재바둑대회를 비롯해 다양한 바둑 관련 행사를 꾸준히 개최하며 ‘바둑의 고장’으로서의 위상을 확립해 왔다.
이번 KB국민은행 바둑리그 합천투어 역시 전국 단위 중계를 통해 합천을 알리고, 스포츠 문화 활성화와 지역 홍보에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
양재호 한국기원 사무총장은 “합천군의 지속적인 바둑대회 개최는 한국 바둑의 경쟁력 강화에 기여하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 한국 바둑 발전을 이끄는 중심지로 자리매김하길 기대한다”고 말했다.
김윤철 합천군수는 “전국적으로 중계되는 바둑리그 경기를 통해 합천을 알릴 수 있는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “앞으로도 바둑을 비롯한 스포츠와 연계한 문화·관광 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
합천군은 이번 바둑대회를 시작으로 제3회 이용대배 배드민턴 꿈나무 최강전, 제4회 헤럴드경제배 전국레슬링대회, 2026춘계 전국남여 대학유도연맹전 등 다양한 스포츠 대회를 합천군 다목적체육관에서 순차적으로 개최할 예정이다.
이를 통해 체육 인프라 활용도를 높이고, 지역 스포츠 발전을 위한 지원을 지속해 나갈 방침이다.
