충남도와 15개 시군이 산림을 지역 경제의 새로운 성장 동력으로 삼고, 도민들이 체감할 수 있는 산림 복지를 확대하기 위해 정책 공조를 강화한다.
도는 6일 도청 대회의실에서 김영명 환경산림국장을 비롯해 시군 산림 부서장, 산림조합 관계자 등 80여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026 시군 산림관계관 회의’를 개최했다.
이번 회의는 올해 산림 사업의 목표를 공유하고, 현장의 애로사항을 청취해 정책의 완성도를 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 회의에서 충남도는 산림의 경제적 가치를 극대화하고 탄소중립에 대응하기 위한 4대 핵심 전략을 제시했다.
먼저, 기후 변화로 인해 대형화되는 산림 재난에 대비해 산불 및 산사태 예방·대응 체계를 고도화한다. 또한, 도민들의 일상 속에 녹색 공간을 확충하여 ‘녹색 행복 시대’를 열고, 양질의 산림 일자리 창출을 통해 임가 소득을 실질적으로 높인다는 계획이다.
