군에 따르면 이번 플랫폼 구축은 울릉군과 LX 간 협력사업으로 추진됐으며, 클라우드 기반 공간정보 통합 플랫폼을 통해 행정 효율성과 정책 판단의 정확성을 동시에 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
구축된 플랫폼은 울릉군 맞춤형 2D 공간정보 포털과 3D 디지털트윈 서비스를 통합 제공한다. 이를 통해 공무원들은 하나의 시스템에서 드론영상 관리, 연속지적도 위치 조정, CCTV 설치 사전 가시권 분석, 도로 및 건축물 일조 분석 등 다양한 행정업무를 수행할 수 있게 됐다.
특히 급경사지와 복잡한 지형이 많은 울릉도의 특성을 3차원 공간정보로 구현함으로써, 현장 조사에 의존하던 기존 방식에서 벗어나 사전 분석과 시뮬레이션 기반의 행정이 가능해졌다. 이에 따라 개발·안전·시설 행정 전반에서 의사결정의 정확성과 신뢰도가 크게 향상될 것으로 기대된다.
이날 성과보고회에서는 플랫폼 구축 성과와 주요 기능에 대한 시연이 진행됐으며, 실제 행정업무 적용 사례를 중심으로 활용 방안이 공유됐다. 또한 같은 날 오후에는 플랫폼 사용자 교육을 실시해 공무원들의 실무 활용 역량을 강화했다.
울릉군은 향후 플랫폼 기능을 지속적으로 고도화하고, 부서 간 데이터 공유를 확대해 울릉군 전반의 디지털 행정 기반을 단계적으로 확산해 나갈 계획이다.
남한권 울릉군수는 “이번 디지털국토 행정서비스 플랫폼 구축은 울릉군 행정을 데이터와 공간정보 기반으로 전환하는 중요한 출발점”이라며, “울릉도의 특수성을 반영한 스마트 행정을 통해 보다 안전하고 효율적인 군정을 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
