<브레이크뉴스 원주 = 이용하 기자> 원주시가 어린이들의 소중한 생명을 지키기 위해 보육 및 교육 현장 최일선에 있는 종사자들의 응급 대처 능력 강화에 나선다.
원주시는 행정안전부가 주관하는 ‘2026년 어린이 이용시설 종사자 안전교육’을 오는 3월부터 본격 실시한다고 10일 밝혔다.
‘어린이 안전관리에 관한 법률’에 따라 진행되는 이번 교육은 학원, 어린이집, 아동복지시설 등 13세 미만 어린이가 주로 이용하는 시설의 종사자라면 매년 4시간 이상 반드시 이수해야 하는 법정 의무교육이다.
교육 과정은 예고 없이 찾아오는 위급 상황에서 골든타임을 놓치지 않도록 철저한 실습 위주로 구성됐다. 주요 내용은 ▲응급상황 행동요령 ▲내·외과적 응급처치 이론 ▲영유아 및 소아 기도 폐쇄 대처법 ▲심폐소생술(CPR) 실습 등이다.
교육은 오는 3월 26일을 시작으로 4월, 5월, 6월, 8월, 9월, 10월까지 총 7회에 걸쳐 원주시청 지하 1층 다목적홀에서 진행된다. 직장인들의 편의를 위해 각 교육일마다 하루 3회(오전 10시, 오후 1시, 오후 3시 30분)로 나누어 운영된다.
참여를 희망하는 종사자는 오는 13일 오전 9시부터 한국보육진흥원 통합 온라인교육시스템(lms.educare.or.kr)을 통해 사전 신청해야 한다.
김주희 원주시 안전총괄과장은 “어린이 안전은 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않다”며 “현장 종사자들이 이번 교육을 통해 실제 응급상황 발생 시 당황하지 않고 아이들을 지켜낼 수 있는 '안전 지킴이'로 거듭나길 바란다”고 당부했다.
