[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 공중보건의사의 대규모 복무 만료로 인한 의료공백을 최소화하기 위해 '비상진료 체계'를 가동한다고 19일 밝혔다.
군에 따르면 현재 관내에 근무 중인 공보의 26명 중 의과, 치과, 한의과를 포함한 17명이 오는 4월 복무 만료를 앞두고 있다.
이는 지역 보건의료 인력의 과반수 이상이 일시에 빠져나가는 상황으로 군민들의 진료 불편이 현실화될 위기에 처했다.
특히 복무 만료 예정의 공보의들이 잔여 연가를 일시에 사용하는 경우가 많아, 2월 중순부터 순차적으로 진료공백이 발생할 가능성이 큰 상황이다.
이에 따라 보건기관 운영 차질을 최소화하기 위한 선제적 대응이 필요한 실정이다.
군은 의료공백을 막기 위해 지난해 말부터 파격적인 조건을 내걸고 전문의 및 일반의 관리의사 채용 공고를 3차례에 걸쳐 진행했으나 전국적인 의사 부족 현상과 지방 기피 현상이 맞물리면서 채용이 지연되고 있다.
