허태정 더불어민주당 대전특별시장 예비후보가 24일 국회 법제사법위원회에서 ‘대전·충남 행정통합 특별법’ 처리가 보류된 것을 두고 국민의힘을 향해 날선 비판을 쏟아냈다.
허 후보는 이날 입장문을 통해 "지방소멸의 위기 앞에서도 오직 ‘선거 유불리’와 ‘당리당략’에 매달려 지역의 미래를 정쟁의 도구로 전락시켰다"며 이번 보류 사태를 명백한 ‘정치적 발목잡기’로 규정했다.
