대전교육감 선거에 출마한 성광진 예비후보가 “장애인이 배움으로 자립할 수 있는 도시, 함께 배우는 대전”을 만들겠다는 구상을 내놨다.
성 예비후보는 24일 발표한 장애인 평생교육 공약에서 “장애인의 평생학습 참여는 복지가 아니라 권리”라며 “교육청이 중심이 되어 장애인 학습 인프라를 제도적으로 구축하겠다”고 밝혔다.
핵심은 교육청 산하에 ‘대전장애인평생학습관(가칭)’을 설립해 본원과 지역 거점 기관을 연결하는 네트워크형 모델을 도입하는 것이다. 그는 “기존의 시설 단위 지원을 넘어 지역 전체가 하나의 평생교육도시로 작동해야 한다”고 강조했다.

아울러 장애인 전담 평생교육사와 수어통역사 등 전문 인력 체계를 확립하고, 교육청·대전시·대학·복지기관이 함께 참여하는 거버넌스를 구축한다는 계획도 내놓았다. 10개 대학과 행정복지센터, 복지관, 도서관 등과의 연계를 통해 ‘도시 단위 학습 생태계’를 만들겠다는 구상이다.
