Jeungpyeong County Public Health Center and Sambo Social Welfare Center Sign 'Healthcare and Health Care' Agreement
On the 25th, the Jeungpyeong County Public Health Center in North Chungcheong Province signed a 'Healthcare and Health Care' agreement with the Jeungpyeong Sambo Social Welfare Center to promote the health of local seniors and strengthen the care service support system.
This agreement aims to reduce the care gap for the growing number of elderly people living alone and those in vulnerable health situations due to the aging population and to establish a prevention-focused local care system.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on the following: 1) identifying and connecting beneficiaries of the health care program for elderly people living alone; 2) cooperating in identifying beneficiaries of home health care services for vulnerable groups; 3) promoting and connecting beneficiaries of the home health care program; 4) supporting care manager training for life support workers; and 5) cooperating in providing materials related to promoting senior health.
In particular, the public health center plans to provide care manager training to 50 life support workers, covering topics such as chronic disease prevention, mental health and suicide prevention, and medication management.
These trained care managers will regularly visit vulnerable populations to provide health management guidance and identify new health care recipients.
This program is expected to increase accessibility to health care in the region, improve the quality of life for seniors, and alleviate the burden of caregiving on families.
Director Cho Mi-jeong of the public health center stated, "This agreement is a significant opportunity to help local seniors live healthier and safer lives. We will continue to expand our customized health and medical services in partnership with the local community."
