파주시는 봄철 해빙기를 맞아 지반 약화와 시설물 붕괴 등 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 오는 4월 10일까지 47일간 관내 취약시설에 대한 집중 안전점검을 실시한다.

이를 위해 시는 지난 23일 행정안전부와 경기도가 주관한 ‘해빙기 안전관리 강화를 위한 영상회의’에 참석해 점검 계획과 대응 체계를 공유했다.
시는 옹벽과 석축, 급경사지, 산사태 취약지역, 건설공사장, 개발허가지 등 주요 취약시설 438곳을 선정해 점검을 진행할 계획이며 안전점검은 시설물 관리부서와 개발 인허가 부서가 각각 자체 점검 계획을 수립해 추진하며, 위험도가 높은 시설에 대해서는 민간 전문가와 합동점검을 병행한다.
아울러 주민이 직접 위험시설 점검을 신청할 수 있는 ‘주민점검신청제’도 운영한다.
주민은 생활 주변에서 위험하다고 판단되는 시설을 가까운 행정복지센터에 신청하거나 ‘안전신문고’를 통해 신고할 수 있으며, 접수된 사항은 전문가가 현장을 확인해 필요한 조치를 안내한다.
또한 시는 4월부터 두 달간 재난 우려 시설 53개소를 대상으로 집중 안전점검을 추가로 실시할 예정이다.
