경산제일고(교장 최요한)는 올해 국가직·보건직·군무원 등 공무원 시험에서 7명이 최종 합격했으며, 국가 방위를 담당할 부사관 시험에서도 17명이 합격하는 성과를 거뒀다.
이 같은 성과는 일회성에 그치지 않고 꾸준히 이어지고 있다. 최근 3년간 공무원 합격자는 ▲2023년 8명 ▲2024년 8명 ▲2025년 7명으로, 매년 안정적인 합격 실적을 기록하며 지역 내 대표적인 취업 명문 특성화고로 자리매김하고 있다.
특히 경산제일고는 2026학년도부터 남녀공학으로 전환해 새 출발을 앞두고 있다. 학교 측은 우수 학생 유입 확대와 체계적인 취업 지원 시스템을 기반으로 인재 양성의 경쟁력을 한층 강화하겠다는 계획이다.
조현일 경산시장은 “치열한 수험 과정을 이겨내고 합격의 영광을 안은 학생들에게 박수를 보낸다”며 “시민과 국가를 위해 봉사하는 공직자로서 첫걸음을 내딛는 여러분이 대한민국의 든든한 미래로 성장하길 바란다”고 격려했다.
최요한 교장은 “학생들의 노력과 교사들의 맞춤형 취업 지도가 어우러져 매년 결실을 맺고 있다”며 “남녀공학 전환을 계기로 더 많은 학생들이 꿈을 펼칠 수 있도록 교육 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
한편 경산시는 앞으로도 지역 직업계고 학생들이 양질의 일자리에 취업해 지역에 정착할 수 있도록 관학 협력과 맞춤형 인재 육성 지원을 지속해 나갈 방침이다.
