【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구청이 3월부터 연말까지 관내 7개 동 행정복지센터에서 친환경 유용미생물(EM) 발효액을 무료로 배부한다.
배부는 매주 화요일부터 목요일까지 이루어진다. 각 동별로 하루 270명에게 선착순으로 1인당 1병(1.8리터)씩 제공한다. 수령 시간은 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지이며, 배부를 받으려면 빈 용기를 챙겨가야 한다.
EM 발효액은 침산3동, 산격4동, 복현2동, 무태조야동, 구암동, 읍내동, 동천동 등 7개 동 행정복지센터에서 배포된다. 주민들은 방문 전 해당 동 행정복지센터에 미리 배부 요일과 일정을 확인하는 것이 좋다.
EM 발효액은 생활 악취 제거, 주방·화장실 청소, 화초 가꾸기 등 여러 용도로 활용되는 친환경 자원이다. 북구청은 지난 2019년부터 이 사업을 시행해왔으며, 지난해에는 총 134톤을 생산·보급했다.
북구청 관계자는 “일상에서 친환경 실천을 도울 수 있도록 이번 사업을 준비했다”며 “주민 여러분께서는 올바른 사용법을 숙지해 안전하게 활용하시길 바란다”고 당부했다.

Daegu Buk-gu Office will distribute free fermented EM (Effective Microorganism) solution at seven administrative welfare centers in the district from March until the end of the year.
