삼성합천병원 산부인과 외래진료 재개

[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 지난 1월부터 의료진 부재 등으로 진료가 중단돼 왔던 삼성합천병원 산부인과가 3일 부터 외래진료를 재개했다.

그간 지역 임산부와 여성 환자들이 인근 도시 의료기관을 이용해야 하는 불편을 겪었으나, 이번 진료 재개로 지역 내 여성 필수 의료 기능이 정상화되면서 의료 접근성이 획기적으로 개선될 전망이다.

진료 재개 첫날인 3일 장재혁 합천군 부군수는 삼성합천병원을 방문해 운영 상황을 직접 점검하고 의료진의 노고를 격려했다.

이어 응급실 운영 현황을 확인하며 응급의료체계 유지 과정에서의 애로사항을 청취하고 안정적인 진료환경 조성을 위한 실질적인 지원 방안을 논의했다.

장재혁 부군수는 "지역의료 공백은 군민의 생명 및 안전과 직결되는 만큼, 민관의 긴밀한 협력이 무엇보다 중요하다"며 "어려운 여건 속에서도 진료 재개에 힘써준 병원측에 감사드리며 군에서도 행정적 재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 말했다.
