군은 2025년 보건복지부 평가에서 △지역사회보장계획 최우수 △의료돌봄 통합지원 최우수 △희망복지지원단 운영 우수상을 수상하며 복지 선도 지방정부로서의 위상을 공고히 했다.
올해는 지역사회보장조사를 토대로 제6기(2027~2030) 지역사회보장 중기계획을 수립해 진천형 사회보장 전략을 한층 체계화할 방침이다.
군은 2026년 통합돌봄 정책의 핵심사업으로 ‘고령자 돌봄 지원주택’을 본격 추진한다.
이는 ‘지금 사는 곳에서 누리는 통합돌봄’ 기조에 맞춘 주거 기반 통합돌봄 모델로, 퇴원·퇴소 이후 돌봄 공백으로 인한 재입원, 이른바 ‘사회적 입원’을 예방하기 위한 사업이다.
이월면 도시재생사업과 연계해 조성되는 고령자 돌봄 지원주택은 대상자의 상태와 욕구에 따라 두 가지 유형으로 운영된다.
