이번 전시회에는 인공지능(AI), 에너지, 모빌리티, 사물인터넷(IoT), 확장현실(XR), 헬스케어 분야 도내 기업 10개사가 참가해 자사 기술과 제품을 선보인다. 참가 기업들은 글로벌 통신사, 해외 바이어, 투자사를 대상으로 기술 시연과 비즈니스 상담을 진행하며 해외 판로 개척에 나선다.
도는 MWC Hall 7에 132㎡(40평) 규모의 단독 전시관을 마련했다. 전시 첫날 도 대표단(단장 박시균 메타AI과학국장)은 현장을 찾아 참가 기업들을 격려하고, 바이어 상담을 지원했다. 전시 기간 중 구축한 현지 네트워크가 실제 수출 계약으로 이어질 수 있도록 사후 지원도 강화할 방침이다.
또한 단순 전시 참가에 그치지 않고 실질적 성과 창출을 위한 소통의 장도 마련된다. 전시 기간 중 참가 기업 대표 등 30여 명이 참석하는 간담회를 열어 현지 애로사항을 청취하고, 글로벌 네트워킹 확대 방안을 논의한다.
박시균 경상북도 메타AI과학국장은 “이번 MWC 2026은 경북 ICT 경쟁력을 세계 시장에 알리고 새로운 성장 동력을 확보하는 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “현지에서 구축한 네트워크가 수출과 투자 유치로 이어질 수 있도록 기업 지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do will operate a Gyeongsangbuk-do pavilion at MWC 2026, the world's largest mobile industry exhibition, held at the Fira Gran Vía in Barcelona, Spain, from March 2nd to 5th, to support the global expansion of local information and communications technology (ICT) companies.

Participating companies will conduct technology demonstrations and business consultations with global telecommunications companies, overseas buyers, and investors, exploring overseas markets.
The province has set up a 132㎡ (40 pyeong) exclusive pavilion in MWC Hall 7. On the first day of the exhibition, a provincial delegation (led by Park Si-gyun, Director of the MetaAI Science Bureau) visited the site to encourage participating companies and provide consultations with buyers.
