계속해서 생활체육 수요 증가에 대응하고 지역주민의 생활환경 개선과 건강복지 서비스 향상을 위해 총사업비 139억원(국비 30억, 도비 23억, 시비 86억원)을 들여 3월 8일 개관한 산남국민체육센터를 찾아 주요 시설을 점검하고, 시설을 이용하게 될 지역 주민대표들과 간담회를 갖고 운영 방향과 이용 활성화 방안 등에 대해 의견을 나눴다.
이어 김 지사는 지역 청년정책 논의를 위해 청년들의 역량 강화와 커뮤니티 활성화를 지원하는 종합활동 공간인 청년뜨락5959를 방문해 시설 운영 현황을 살펴보고, 청년단체 임원 등 10여 명과 간담회를 갖고 청년정책 발전 방향과 청년들의 다양한 의견을 청취했다.
청주시청 대회의실에서 열린 도정보고회에는 시민 250여 명이 참석한 가운데 충청북특별자치도법 제정을 촉구하는 피켓 퍼포먼스로 행사의 막을 열었다.
이어 진행된 도민 공감 토크콘서트에서는 ▲청주 다목적 실내체육관 건립사업 ▲시내버스 준공영제 도비 지원 확대 ▲충북대표도서관 청주건립 요청 등 지역 주요 현안에 대한 건의사항을 청취하고, 도정 반영 방안에 대해 시민들과 함께 논의했다.
