평가는 총 100점 만점으로 축제 기획(50점), 축제 콘텐츠(30점), 축제 발전 노력(20점)을 종합적으로 심사했다.
심의 결과 최우수 축제로 선정된 칠성별별락장축제에 3,500만 원, 우수 축제인 사리면발축제·청천환경버섯축제에 각 3,000만 원, 유망 축제인 감물감자축제에 2,500만 원을 지원한다. 그 외 6개 축제에는 각 2,000만 원을 지급한다.
군은 보조금과 함께 축제별 특성에 맞춘 사전 컨설팅을 지원하여 축제의 완성도를 높일 계획이다.
