【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시청자미디어센터(센터장 왕현호)와 달서구 성서종합사회복지관(관장 김병우)이 지역사회 미디어 접근성 확대와 사회복지 연계 강화를 위해 손을 잡았다.
대구시청자미디어센터는 지난 9일 성서종합사회복지관과 미디어 및 사회복지 분야 발전을 위한 업무협약을 맺었다고 10일 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 미디어 교육과 콘텐츠 제작 지원을 바탕으로 지역 내 미디어 역량을 높이고, 소외계층의 참여 기회를 넓히는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
양 기관은 상호 존중과 신뢰를 바탕으로 미디어 교육과 복지 서비스를 연계한 다양한 협력 사업을 추진할 계획이다. 특히 다름이 존중받는 지역 공동체 조성, 사회복지사업 협력, 소외계층의 미디어 콘텐츠 제작 지원, 공동 발전을 위한 사업 등이 주요 내용이다.
두 기관은 이주배경 아동·청소년의 미디어 활용 능력과 미래 역량 강화를 목표로 ‘세이브 더 칠 드림’ 프로그램을 공동 운영한다. 이를 통해 미디어 교육과 콘텐츠 제작 경험을 직접 제공하며, 앞으로도 지속적인 협력 사업을 이어가겠다는 입장이다.
왕현호 대구시청자미디어센터 센터장은 “이번 협약을 통해 지역 내 소외계층의 미디어 접근성이 높아지고, 누구나 자신의 목소리를 낼 수 있는 미디어 복지 환경을 만드는 데 기반이 마련됐다. 앞으로도 현장 중심의 교육과 제작 지원으로 실질적 성과를 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
김병우 성서종합사회복지관 관장은 “미디어를 매개로 소외된 이웃들이 세상과 소통하고, 다름이 존중받는 따뜻한 지역 공동체를 만드는 데 역할을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
대구시청자미디어센터는 시민의 미디어 참여 확대와 디지털 역량 강화를 위한 공공 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 이번 협약을 계기로 지역사회 복지와 미디어 교육을 연계하는 역할을 한층 강화해 나갈 방침이다.
