‘이지플’은 군위 사과연구센터에서 2020년 출원한 품종으로 ‘홍로’와 ‘감홍’을 교배·선발해 개발됐다.
숙기는 9월 상·중순이며, 당도는 16.7°Bx, 산도는 0.41% 수준이다.
기존 중생종 품종에 비해 탄저병에 강하고 저장성이 우수해 중생종의 단점을 보완한 대체 품종으로 평가받고 있다.
시는 올해 관내 신규 개원 예정 농가를 대상으로 8,000주를 우선 공급하고, 내년에는 25,000주까지 확대할 계획이다.
