【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청과 성균관유도회총본부는 10일, 도교육청에서 학생들의 바른 인성 함양을 위한 상호 협력 업무협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 양 기관이 협력 체계를 구축해 전통문화에 대한 이해를 높이고 올바른 가치관 형성을 지원하기 위한 인성교육 협력 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다. 성균관유도회총본부와 업무협약은 전국 17개 시·도교육청 가운데 충북교육청이 최초다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲학생 인성·예절·효행(한자) 교육 프로그램 운영 ▲교원의 인성교육 역량 강화를 위한 연수 운영 ▲인성 관련 교육자료 개발 및 공유 ▲전통문화 체험 및 문화탐방 프로그램 운영 ▲지역 맞춤형 인성교육 프로그램 운영 ▲교육활동에 필요한 인적·물적 자원 협력 등을 추진할 계획이다.
특히 도교육청은 올해부터 보은과 괴산 지역을 중심으로 향교와 서원 등 지역 전통문화 자원과 연계한 학생 인성교육 프로그램을 운영해 지역 맞춤형 인성교육을 확대해 나갈 예정이다.
윤건영 교육감은 “빠르게 변화하는 시대일수록 서로를 배려하고 존중하며 공동체 속에서 책임 있게 살아가는 힘을 기르는 인성교육이 더욱 중요하다.”라며 “이번 협약을 통해 학생들이 전통 속에 담긴 ‘예와 효의 정신’을 배우고, 사람다운 품성과 책임 있는 시민의식을 갖춘 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.

Chungbuk Office of Education Signs MOU with Sungkyunkwan Judohoe to Strengthen Character Education
On the 10th, the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office of Education and the Sungkyunkwan Judohoe Headquarters signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation to foster character in students.
This MOU aims to establish a collaborative framework between the two organizations to foster understanding of traditional culture and foster the formation of sound values. The Chungbuk Office of Education is the first of 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education to sign a MOU with the Sungkyunkwan Judohoe Headquarters.
According to the MOU, the two organizations will: operate character education programs for students, etiquette, and filial piety (Chinese characters); conduct training to strengthen teacher character education capabilities; develop and share character education materials; operate traditional culture experience and cultural tour programs; operate regionally tailored character education programs; and collaborate on human and material resources necessary for educational activities. In particular, the Provincial Office of Education plans to expand customized character education for each region starting this year by operating a student character education program linked to local traditional cultural resources, such as hyanggyo (Confucian schools) and seowon (Confucian academies), focusing on the Boeun and Goesan regions.
