이번 협약은 ‘의료·요양 등 지역 돌봄통합지원법’ 시행에 대비해 재택의료센터의 전국 확대 추진 정책에 맞춰 추진됐으며, 이에 따라 보은한양병원이 의료기관 전담형 재택의료센터로 선정되어 관련 사업이 본격적으로 운영될 예정이다.
재택의료센터는 의사, 간호사, 사회복지사 등 전문 인력이 한 팀을 이루어 거동이 불편한 장기요양 수급자의 가정을 직접 방문해 통합적인 의료·요양 서비스를 제공하는 사업이다.
대상자의 건강 상태와 생활 여건을 종합적으로 평가해 개인별 케어플랜을 수립하고 방문진료와 방문간호, 지역사회 자원 연계 등 맞춤형 서비스를 지원하게 된다.
