제천쌀 사용업소로 지정되면 현판 수여와 홍보물 제작 등을 혜택을 받을 수 있다. 또한 업소의 연간 제천쌀 사용량에 따라 일정 비율을 다시 제천쌀로 되돌려 받을 수 있다.
시 관계자는 “제천쌀 사용업소 지정을 통해 제천쌀의 소비가 확대되고, 고품질 쌀의 안정적인 생산과 경쟁력 확보를 위한 기반이 마련되길 기대한다”라고 말했다.
