이날 위촉된 결산검사위원은 대표위원인 박해수 의원을 비롯한 신효일·이두원 의원과 회계·세무 및 행정 분야의 전문 민간위원인 신영란, 이규학 세무사, 김청 경영총괄대표, 구본승 재정연구원, 이정우 퇴직 공무원, 홍진옥 전 의원 등 총 9명으로 구성됐다.
김낙우 의장은 “결산검사는 충주시 재정이 투명하고 효율적으로 운영되었는지를 점검하는 중요한 과정”이라며, “위원들께서는 전문성을 토대로 예산집행의 문제점을 점검하며 충주시의 재정 건전성 강화에 기여해 주시길 부탁드린다”라고 밝혔다.
한편, 이번 결산검사는 오는 3월 27일부터 4월 15일까지 20일간 진행되며, 검사 결과는 충주시의회의 심의를 거쳐 오는 9월 제305회 제1차 정례회에서 결산 승인 절차를 밟게 된다.
