【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시가 2026년 청년정책 시행계획을 확정하고, 청년의 삶 전반을 아우르는 종합 지원에 나선다. 시는 올해 △일자리 △주거 △교육 △복지·문화 △참여·권리 등 5개 분야에서 총 83개 사업을 추진하기 위해 2,797억원을 투입한다고 13일 밝혔다.

먼저 일자리 분야에서는 민선8기 대표 공약사업인 대현지하상가 청년특화지역 조성사업을 마무리하고 본격 운영에 들어간다. 청년창업지원센터를 중심으로 북카페, 문화마당, 휴식공간 등을 갖춘 청년복합문화공간으로 조성해 청주 원도심의 새로운 거점으로 육성할 예정이다.
또한 미취업 청년의 자립기반 형성과 역량 강화를 위해 자격증 시험 응시료 지원사업을 3월부터 새롭게 시행한다. 19세부터 39세 이하 청년을 대상으로 국가기술자격, 어학, 한국사 시험 응시료를 1인당 연 10만원 한도에서 지원한다.

청년농업인 지원도 이어진다. 시는 영농정착지원, 창업지원, 농지임차료 지원 등을 통해 청년농업인의 안정적인 정착과 성장을 지원할 계획이다.
주거 분야에서는 청년의 주거비 부담 완화를 위해 청년 월세 지원, 청년 전세자금 대출이자 지원, 신혼부부 주택자금 대출이자 지원, 대학생 공공기숙사 지원 등을 추진한다.
청년 월세 지원사업은 올해부터 계속사업으로 전환돼 저소득층 청년에게 월 최대 20만원씩 24개월간 지원할 예정이며, 청년 전세자금 대출이자 지원사업은 무주택 미혼 청년에게 대출잔액의 1.5% 범위 내에서 연 최대 100만원까지 지원한다. 신혼부부 주택자금 대출이자 지원도 함께 추진한다.
또한 청년층의 주거기회 확대를 위해 오창2산업단지 일자리 연계형 지원주택 건립을 올해 6월 착공하고, 내덕동 행복주택도 6월 준공할 예정이다. 전세사기 피해 예방을 위한 전세보증금반환보증 보증료 지원사업도 지속 추진한다.
교육 분야에서는 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업과 산학연계 현장실습 지원사업을 통해 지역 맞춤형 인재 양성과 정주형 취업을 강화한다.
이와 함께 대학생 학자금 대출이자 지원사업을 4월부터 시행하고, 반도체·항공우주·이차전지 등 첨단산업 분야 인재양성 부트캠프 사업도 추진할 계획이다.
복지·문화 분야에서는 고립·은둔 청년 지원사업을 확대해 청년의 일상 회복과 사회진입 적응을 돕는다. 군입대청년상해보험가입지원, 청년내일저축계좌, 충북행복결혼공제 사업 등도 추진해 청년의 생활 안정과 자산 형성을 지원한다.
