군은 앞서 행정안전부의 ‘지방보조금 관리기준’ 개정에 맞춰 도내 최초로 증평새마을금고와 협약을 체결한 바 있다.
제도 개정으로 지방보조금 전용계좌를 기존 군 금고 외 금융기관에서도 개설할 수 있게 되면서 보조사업자의 금융 이용 편의성이 한층 높아질 전망이다.
군은 이번 협약을 계기로 지방보조금 관리 체계를 보다 유연하게 운영하는 한편, 지역 금융기관과의 상생 협력 기반도 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
이재영 군수는 “증평새마을금고에 이어 증평신협과 추가 협약을 체결하면서 지방보조사업자의 금융기관 선택 폭을 넓히는 동시에 지역 금융기관과의 협력 기반도 한층 강화됐다”며 “앞으로도 지역 금융과의 상생을 바탕으로 보조사업자의 이용 편의를 높이기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
