【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국민의힘 추경호 의원이 대구 디지털 산업 육성을 위한 정책 구상을 내놓았다.
추 의원은 19일 대구 수성구 알파시티 SW융합기술지원센터에서 열린 지역 IT기업 대표들과의 조찬 간담회에서 ‘대구 AX 위원회(가칭)’ 구성과 지방 펀드 조성 방안을 제시했다.
이날 간담회는 대경ICT산업협회와 한국여성IT기업인협회 영남지회가 주관했으며, 지역 IT기업 대표 등 30여 명이 참석했다.
추 의원은 “수성 알파시티는 비수도권 최대 소프트웨어 산업 거점”이라며 “AI 중심 산업 구조로 전환하는 글로벌 허브로 키워야 한다”고 강조했다.
이어 시장 직속 ‘대구 AX 위원회’ 신설을 통해 정책 수요 발굴부터 결정, 실행까지 통합적으로 관리하는 체계를 마련하겠다고 설명했다. 또 창업 지원과 ‘AX 지방펀드’ 조성을 통해 기업 성장과 일자리 창출도 적극 뒷받침하겠다는 구상이다.
이날 간담회에선 알파시티 인프라의 지속적 발전과 함께, 지역 기업 참여 확대와 인력 양성, 그리고 산업 간 연계 필요성 등 다양한 의견이 제시됐다.
추 의원은 “앞으로 펀드 규모와 운영 방식, 위원회 구성 등 구체적인 실행 방안을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Representative Choo Kyung-ho of the People Power Party has unveiled policy plans to foster Daegu's digital industry.
During a breakfast meeting with representatives of local IT companies held on the 19th at the SW Convergence Technology Support Center in Alpha City, Suseong-gu, Daegu, Rep. Choo proposed the formation of a "Daegu AX Committee (tentative name)" and plans to establish a local fund.
The meeting was hosted by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk ICT Industry Association and the Yeongnam Branch of the Korea Women IT Entrepreneurs Association, and was attended by approximately 30 people, including representatives of local IT companies.
Rep. Choo emphasized, "Suseong Alpha City is the largest software industry hub outside the capital region," adding, "We must develop it into a global hub transitioning to an AI-centric industrial structure."
He further explained that he intends to establish a system for integrated management—from identifying policy needs to decision-making and implementation—through the creation of the "Daegu AX Committee," which is directly under the Mayor. Additionally, he outlined plans to actively support corporate growth and job creation through startup support and the establishment of the "AX Local Fund."
At the meeting, various opinions were presented regarding the continuous development of Alpha City's infrastructure, as well as the need for expanded participation by local companies, workforce training, and inter-industry linkages.
Representative Chu stated, "I will prepare concrete implementation plans going forward, including the fund's scale, operational methods, and the composition of the committee."
