대구사이버대학교는 지난 4월 1일 대구 동구 지역 재가노인돌봄기관 6개소와 상호 협력을 위한 교류협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 동구재가노인돌봄협의체 소속 기관들과 각각 1대1 방식으로 진행됐다.
협약식에는 이근용 총장을 비롯해 박상희 대학원장, 박경순 교무처장, 김한양 기획처장, 송인욱 입학학생처장, 도진우 사무처장, 김천수 평생교육원장 등 대학 주요 관계자들이 참석했다. 협의체 측에서는 배익철 회장(효청원재가노인돌봄센터장)을 포함해 장윤호, 전범재, 정선영, 정현달, 최남출 센터장 등이 함께했다.
이번 협약에는 ▲효청원재가노인돌봄센터 ▲진명재가노인돌봄센터 ▲감천재가노인돌봄센터 ▲성덕재가노인돌봄센터 ▲신안재가노인돌봄센터 ▲동구재가노인돌봄센터 등 총 6개 기관이 참여했다.
양측은 협약을 통해 임직원 및 가족 대상 장학 혜택 제공, 장애인 사이버 평생학습 플랫폼 홍보, 기타 상호 발전을 위한 공동 사업 추진 등에 협력하기로 했다.
이근용 총장은 “이번 협약을 계기로 지역 돌봄 현장에서 근무하는 종사자들의 전문성을 높이고 지속적인 교육 기회를 제공할 수 있을 것”이라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 사회적 가치 실현에 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Cyber University Signs Agreement with 6 Home Care Agencies for the Elderly in Dong-gu to Strengthen Professionalism of Care Workforce
Daegu Cyber University (President Lee Geun-yong) has established a foundation for cooperation to enhance the professionalism of local care workers and expand educational opportunities.
Daegu Cyber University announced that it signed an exchange agreement for mutual cooperation with six home care agencies for the elderly in the Dong-gu area of Daegu on April 1. This agreement was conducted on a one-to-one basis with each agency belonging to the Dong-gu Home Care Council for the Elderly.
Key university officials attended the signing ceremony, including President Lee Geun-yong, Dean of Graduate School Park Sang-hee, Dean of Academic Affairs Park Kyung-soon, Dean of Planning Kim Han-yang, Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs Song In-wook, Secretary General Do Jin-woo, and Director of the Lifelong Education Center Kim Cheon-su. The consultative body was represented by Chairman Bae Ik-cheol (Director of Hyocheongwon Home Care Center for the Elderly), along with Center Directors Jang Yun-ho, Jeon Beom-jae, Jeong Seon-yeong, Jeong Hyeon-dal, and Choi Nam-chul.
A total of six institutions participated in this agreement: Hyocheongwon Home Care Center for the Elderly, Jinmyeong Home Care Center for the Elderly, Gamcheon Home Care Center for the Elderly, Seongdeok Home Care Center for the Elderly, Sinan Home Care Center for the Elderly, and Donggu Home Care Center for the Elderly.
Through this agreement, both parties agreed to cooperate on providing scholarship benefits to employees and their families, promoting the cyber lifelong learning platform for the disabled, and pursuing other joint projects for mutual development.
President Lee Geun-yong stated, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity to enhance the professionalism of workers in the local care sector and provide continuous educational opportunities," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in realizing social values through close cooperation with the local community."
