[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 지난 1월 1일부터 진료가 중단됐던 삼성합천병원 소아청소년과 진료가 13일 부터 재개됐다.
이번 진료 재개로 합천군 내 소아 진료 접근성이 회복되면서 영유아 및 학령기 아동의 예방접종, 성장 관리, 호흡기 및 감염성 질환 등 소아청소년 주요 질환에 대한 적기 진료가 가능해질 전망이다.
군은 한시적인 진료 공백이 발생해 주민들이 인근 타 지역 의료기관을 이용하는 등 불편을 겪어온데 따라 관계기관과 협력해 의료 공백 최소화를 위한 대응 방안을 모색해 왔다.
정종섭 보건정책과장은 “소아청소년 의료서비스는 지역 주민의 생활과 직결되는 필수 의료 분야”라며 “앞으로도 의료취약지 지원사업 등을 통해 안정적인 진료 환경을 조성하고 군민들이 지역 내에서 필요한 의료서비스를 제때 이용할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
