청와대가 20일 "이재명 대통령이 신현송 한국은행 총재 임명안을 재가했다"고 전했다.
강유정 수석대변인은 이날 밤 언론 공지에서 이같이 전한 가운데 발령 일자는 21일이며 임기는 4년이다.
앞서 이날 오후 국회 재정경제기획위는 전체회의를 열어 신 총재에 대한 인사청문경과보고서를 여야 합의로 채택한 가운데 지난 15일 청문회 이후 5일 만이다.
