브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 당정청은 3일 주식 양도소득세 부과 대주주 요건을 10억원으로 유지하기로 결정했다.
또한 홍남기 경제부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관은 대주주 요건 강화 등을 놓고 논란이 지속된 데 대한 책임을 지고 사의를 하겠다고 표명했다. 다만 문재인 대통령은 사직서를 반려하고 즉각 재신임했다.
홍 부총리는 이날 국회 기획재정위원회 전체회의에서 '대주주 요건이 10억원으로 유지된다고 보도되고 있는데 어떻게 정리됐느냐'는 정일영 더불어민주당 의원의 질의에 "최근 글로벌 정세와 경제의 불확실성이 높아지는 상황을 감안해 일단 현행처럼 10억원을 유지하는 것으로 고위 당정청에서 결정했다"고 밝혔다.
홍 부총리는 "2018년 2월 이미 대주주 요건을 10억원에서 3억원으로 강화하도록 시행령이 개정돼 있어서 자산 소득에 대한 과세 공평 차원에서 기존 발표 방침대로 가야 한다고 봤다"고 설명했다.
이어 그는 "다만 저는 바람직하지 않다고 생각해서 반대 의견을 제시했다"면서 "당정청에서 더 큰 틀에서 협의됐기 때문에 현행이 유지될 것이라고 말씀드린다"고 했다.
홍 부총리는 또한 "2개월간 갑론을박이 전개된 것에 대해서는 누군가 책임 있는 자세가 필요하다고 생각해 오늘 사의 표명으로 사직서를 제출했다"면서 "다만 내일부터 예결위가 있는데 예산 심의에 대해서는 주무 장관으로 최대한 열정을 갖고 최대한 심의에 임하겠다"고 말했다.
