브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 일본을 방문 중인 박지원 국가정보원장이 10일 스가 요시히데(菅義偉) 일본 총리를 만났다는 일본 보도가 나왔다.
지난 8일부터 일본을 방문 중인 박 국정원장이 일본 정부 고위 관계자를 연이어 회담할 것이라는 관측이 나온 가운데, 10일 오후 스가 총리와 만났다는 일본 언론의 보도가 나왔다.
가토 가쓰노부 관방장관은 이날 오후 일본 총리 관저에서 박지원 국정원장이 스가 총리를 예방했다고 TV도쿄 등 일본 언론을 통해 밝혔다. 다만 가토 관방장관은 자신은 이 자리에 동석하지 않았기 때문에 면담 내용에 대해서는 모른다고 전했다.

또한 국내 일부 언론에서 박 국정원장이 문재인 대통령의 명의의 친서를 전달할 것이라는 보도가 나왔는데, 청와대는 "정상 외교 관련 사항에 대해선 확인해주지 않는 게 관례"라며 즉답을 피했다.
한편, 박 원장은 지난 8일 일본을 방문해 니카이 도시히로(二階俊博) 일본 집권 자민당 간사장, 기타무라 시게루(北村滋) 국가안전보장국장, 다키자와 히로아키(滝沢裕昭) 내각정보관 등과 회담한 것으로 알려졌다.
다만 강제징용 문제로 인한 양국 갈등이 심화된 상태여서, 꼬인 실타래를 풀어내기란 쉽지 않은 상황이다.
10일 일제 강점기 강제동원 피해자들에게 손해배상 명령을 받았으나 불응한 일본 미쓰비시(三菱)중공업의 심문서 공시송달 전달 효력이 10일부터 발생했다. 이와 관련 가토 관방장관은 이날 오전 기자회견에서 "한국 대법원 판결과 그와 관련한 사법 절차는 명확한 국제법 위반"이라며 "만일 (일본 기업의 자산) 현금화에 도달할 경우 심각한 상황을 부르기 때문에 피해야 한다"고 경고했다.
