나는 평생 비주류 기자였다.
그럼에도, 원도 없이 한도 없이
쓰고 싶은 글들을 모조리 썼다.
공교롭게도
자유민주주의 국가는 내 나이와 더불어
조금씩 조금씩 발전해왔다.

<시작(詩作) 여백> 시인은 평생, 비주류 기자로 살았다. 주류(主流)의 언저리에서 살았다. 그런데도, 뒤돌아보면, 쓰고 싶은 글들은 모조리 쓰고 살았다. 비주류여서, 사회의 한켠에 살아서, 아마도 그래서, 그게 가능했는지도 모른다. 오늘도 비주류로 글을 썼고, 내일에도 쓸 수 있기를 기도한다.(2020.12.2)

A lifelong non-mainstream reporter

I have been a non-mainstream journalist my entire life.
Nevertheless, without circles, without limits
I wrote everything I wanted to write.
Unfortunately
A liberal democratic country, along with my age
It has evolved little by little.

The poet has lived as a non-mainstream reporter all his life. Lived on the fringes of the mainstream. Still, looking back, I wrote and lived all the articles I wanted to write. Being a non-mainstream, living in a corner of society, maybe so, maybe that was possible. I wrote today as well, and I pray that I can write it tomorrow.
