한국 사회에서는, 대통령은 ‘하늘이 낸다’는 말이 회자(膾炙=칭찬을 받으며 사람의 입에 자주 오르내리게 되다)돼 왔다. 여기에서 ‘하늘’은 아마 높은 곳, 깨끗한 곳, 이 세상을 있게 한 창조자가 있는 곳을 의미한다고 본다.
