대구보건대, 메타버스 활용 의료방사선 실습 콘텐츠 개발

대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)는 메타버스 솔루션을 이용한 의료방사선 실습 교육콘텐츠를 개발했다고 밝혔다.

대구보건대는 과학기술정보통신부와 대구광역시에서 지원하는 ‘2021년 5G 기반 AR · MR 콘텐츠 개발 및 실증 사업’일환으로 콘텐츠 개발을 실시했다.

이를 통해 개발된 콘텐츠는 방사선과 김정수 교수, 권순무 교수 연구진이 코로나 19로 임상실습이 어려운 학생들의 임상교육 효과를 높이기 위해 가상현실로는 최초로 의료X선 촬영실습을 구현한 것으로 실습생들은 가상의 병원 중환자실에서 이동X선 촬영기술 전 과정을 현실과 동일하게 체험할 수 있다.

이번 연구는 4차 산업시대 보건의료 교육현장에서 메타버스를 활용한 교육을 도입하고 현장실습에 적용해 방사선 기술 교육의 새로운 모델을 제시해 좋은 평가를 받았다.

방사선과 김정수 교수는“국민들의 건강을 책임지는 실무능력이 뛰어난 방사선사 양성을 위해 의료방사선 교육연구에 더욱 매진하겠다”고 전했다.
