대구보건대학교 남성희 총장이 어린이 교통안전 환경 개선을 위한 S(chool).O(zero).S(afe) Zone 캠페인에 참여했다.
사회 저명인사들의 목소리로 어린이 보호구역에서의 안전운전을 다짐하는 S.O.S Zone 캠페인은 ‘스쿨존, 제로존, 세이프존’ 캠페인을 제작하여 학생들의 등교시간대에 TBN 대구교통방송을 통해 송출해 시민들의 안전의식을 고취하고 어린이 교통사고를 예방하기 위해 실시되고 있다.

송준기 대한적십자사 대구지사회장의 지목을 받은 남성희 총장은 해당 캠페인의 표어가 적힌 팻말을 들고 찍은 사진을 대학 공식 SNS에 게재해 홍보하며 다음 주자로 한국장학재단 정대화 이사장을 지명했다.
남성희 총장은 “교통약자인 어린이가 안심하고 등교할 수 있도록, 특히 스쿨존에서의 교통사고 0%가 되기 위해서는 모두의 관심과 노력이 필요하다” 며, “이번 캠페인을 시작으로 보행자 중심의 교통문화가 조성되길 바란다” 고 전했다.
