계명대 산학인재원과 미술대학이 지역의 로봇산업 발전을 위하여 로봇디자인 고도화 및 디자이너 인재 양성을 위해 한국로봇산업진흥원, 대구경북디자인센터, 대구경북디자인기업협회와 손을 잡았다.
지난 16일 오후 5시, 계명대 산학협력단 207호에서 로봇도시로의 도약을 위해 업무협약을 체결했다.

이날 협약에는 계명대 산학인재원 김범준 원장, 미술대학 김윤희 학장, 한국로봇산업진흥원 우종운 단장, 대구경북디자인센터 김윤집 원장, 대구경북디자인기업협회 채영삼 회장 등이 참여해 지역의 로봇 산업 활성화와 관련 인재 양성을 위한 협력을 약속했다.
이는 지역 대학, 로봇 산업 지원기관, 디자인 전문 기관 및 관련 기업들이 뜻을 함께 한 것으로 더욱 의미를 더하는 가운데 협약을 체결한 5개 단체는 ▲지역로봇 산업 발전을 위한 기관별 보유 자원의 공유, 상호 보완 등 상호협력 ▲로봇관련 디자이너 인재 양성을 위한 상호협력▲기업, 교수, 학생이 참여한 로봇 디자인 전시회 개최▲협약 기관의 발전을 위한 공동 노력 및 상호 지원, 프로젝트 과제 발굴과 수행 등을 약속했다.
계명대 산학인재원 김범준 원장은“계명대는 지역의 로봇산업 발전을 위해 이미 로봇공학전공의 정원을 확대하고 스마트팩토리공학전공을 신설하는 등 우리 지역의 로봇 산업 전문가 양성에 노력하고 있다”며,“더불어 이번 협약을 통해 계명대의 디자인 전공자들이 지역 로봇산업의 고도화에 기여할 수 있도록 다양한 산학협력 활동과 교육을 확대할 계획”이라고 설명하였다.
김윤희 계명대 미술대학장은 “2022년 상반기에는 한국로봇산업진흥원, 대구경북디자인기업협회 기업들이 참여하는 로봇디자인 성과물을 전시할 계획으로 있다.”며, “앞으로 지역 로봇산업 발전을 위하여 디자인 분야에서 더 많은 역할을 하며 지역 로봇산업 대표도시에 기여하고자 한다.”고 계획을 밝혔다.
