대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)의 ‘국민체력100 경산체력인증센터’가 ‘2021년 국민체력100 운영성과평가’에서 전국 7위, 대구·경북권 1위 센터로 선정되었다는 소식을 전했다.
문화체육관광부·국민체육진흥공단에서 진행한 이번 평가에서 대구·경북 센터 8곳 중 1위를 차지한 경산체력인증센터는 경산시민 및 소외계층을 대상으로 한 실시간 비대면 온라인 체력증진교실 운영과 온라인 홈트레이닝 콘텐츠 보급 등으로 2020년 8월 개소 후 1년 남짓 만에 코로나19 속에서도 성과를 인정받았다.

이와 함께 내년에는 코로나19 대비, 집에서도 간단히 체력을 측정하고 본인의 체력백분위를 파악하여 본인의 체력에 맞는 운동을 처방받을 수 있는 자가체력측정 방식을 도입 하는 등 경산시민의 건강증진을 위한 최고의 서비스를 준비하고 있는 것으로 알려진다.
최동식 경산체력인증센터 센터장은 “코로나19가 지속되는 상황 속에서 건강관리가 어려운 경산시민들을 위해 다양한 프로그램 개발과 체육복지 서비스 향상에 최선을 다하여, 건강한 도시 경산을 만들겠다”라고 말했다.
