브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 바디프랜드(박상현 대표)가 오는 5일부터 8일까지 미국 라스베가스에서 열리는 세계 최대 가전•정보기술(IT) 전시회 ‘CES 2022’에서 로봇 형태의 안마의자 ‘팬텀 로보(Phantom Rovo)’를 공개한다.
팬텀 로보는 약 50억원의 연구개발비를 투자해 만든 미래형 헬스케어 제품으로, 양쪽 다리 마사지부가 독립적으로 구동하는 것이 특징이다.
두발을 동시에 넣어 왼쪽 다리와 오른쪽 다리 구분없이 동일한 마사지 패턴을 제공하는 형태의 기존 안마의자와는 달리 ‘로보 모드’를 통해 상황에 따라 양쪽 다리가 서로 다른 움직임과 마사지를 구현할 수 있다. 나아가 스트레칭 등의 운동 효과까지 볼 수 있다.
로보 모드는 △장요근 스트레칭 △사이클 △햄스트링 스트레칭 △트위스팅 스트레칭 등 4가지 프로그램으로 구성됐으며, 다리 마사지부가 분리되는 인체공학적 원리를 적용해 기존에는 전혀 없던 새로운 방식의 마사지를 제공한다.

양쪽 다리 마사지부의 길이가 각각 조절돼 골반이 틀어지거나 양쪽 다리 길이가 달라 기존의 안마의자에 불편함을 느끼는 사용자에게 편안한 맞춤 마사지를 제공하는 특허기술 역시 향후 제품에 적용할 예정이다.
아울러 한번에 성인 평균 엄지손가락 너비의 10분의 1보다 작은 1.25mm씩 움직이며 정교하게 마사지하는 ‘핑거 무빙(Finger Moving)’ 기술을 적용한 'XD-Pro(프로) 마사지 모듈'을 탑재해 사람이 직접 하는 마사지와 유사한 느낌을 받도록 했다.
바디프랜드 관계자는 "다리를 독립적으로 구동할 수 있는 로봇 형태의 안마의자로 기존 안마의자 보다 섬세한 마사지가 가능해 장요근 스트레칭과 햄스트링 스트레칭 등 새로운 형태의 마사지를 제공한다"며 “향후 재활치료 영역과의 연계를 통해 인류의 건강 수명을 10년 연장하는데 기여하겠다"고 말했다.
