브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 홍준표 국민의힘 의원이 11일 "초등학교 반장 선거도 아니고 대선이 왜 이리 저급하게 됐나"라고 여야 대선후보의 공약에 대해 간접적으로 비판했다.
홍준표 의원은 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "참으로 국민 앞에 고개 들기가 부끄러운 저질 대선을 바라보는 참담한 요즘"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
홍 의원은 특정 후보를 언급하지는 않았으나, 최근 이재명 더불어민주당 후보와 윤석열 국민의힘 후보가 내놓은 공약들에 '선심성 공약'이 대거 포함된 점을 지적한 것으로 해석된다.
그는 여야 대선후보의 공약 경쟁을 "나를 찍어주면 여러분에게 연필 한 자루씩 드리겠습니다. 아닙니다. 나는 여러분들에게 공책 한 권씩 드리겠습니다"라고 비유하며 "국가 백년대계를 논해야 할 선거가 초등학교 반장선거로 전락했구나. 대선이 대선답게 치러졌으면 하는 바람"이라고 지적했다.
홍 의원은 지난 9일에도 윤석열 후보의 '병사 월급 200만원' 공약에 대해 "헛소리"라고 평가절하하기도 했다.
한편 윤석열 후보는 이날 신년 기자회견을 열고 자영업자 임대료 지원, 출산 가정에 1년간 1200만원 지급 등의 공약을 발표했다. 이재명 후보도 최근 전국민 재난지원금, 탈모치료제 건강보험 적용 등을 검토하겠다고 밝힌 바 있다.

Rep. Hong Joon Pyo of the People's Power indirectly criticized the presidential candidate's pledge on the 11th, saying, "It's not an elementary school class president election, but why the presidential election has become so low."
Rep. Hong Joon Pyo said on his Facebook page, "These days, we are looking at the low-quality presidential election, which is embarrassing to raise our heads in front of the public."
Rep. Hong did not mention a specific candidate, but it is interpreted that he pointed out that the recent pledges made by Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung and Yoon Seok-yeol, a candidate for the strength of the people, included a large number of "good-hearted pledges."
He said, "If you take a picture of me, I'll give you a pencil." No, I'll give you a notebook each," and added, "The election that should be discussed in the national hundred years has degenerated into an elementary school class president election. "I hope the presidential election will be held like the presidential election," he pointed out.
On the 9th, Rep. Hong also devalued candidate Yoon Seok-yeol's pledge to "pay 2 million won for soldiers" as "false."
Meanwhile, candidate Yoon Seok-yeol held a New Year's press conference and announced pledges such as supporting rent for self-employed people and paying 12 million won to childbirth families for a year. Candidate Lee Jae-myung also recently announced that he would consider applying national disaster support funds and health insurance for hair loss treatments.
