경북과학대학교(총장 김현정) 이명희 산학협력단장이 농식품 유통혁신 등에 기여한 공로로 경북도지사 표창을 수상했다.
경북과학대 스마트팜식품과 교수인 이명희 단장은 경북도 농업 및 농가 소득 증대를 위해 다년간 경북도농어업FTA대책특별위원회의 자문위원으로 활동했다.

또 농림축산식품부 농업정책수립 및 농업R&D 관련 농림수산식품기술기획평가원의 비상임이사로 활동하면서 농업 발전에 기여하였으며 특히 참외, 양파, 블루베리 등 지역 농산물을 이용한 고부가가치화 상품 개발에도 앞장서왔다.
현재 이명희 단장은 경북식품산업정책위원회 위원, 경북도 농식품유통혁신위원회 상임 위원으로 활동하면서 6차 산업 활성화 방안 모색, 4차 산업혁명 시대의 농업 방향, 식품가공 컨설팅 등의 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있으며 지난 2020년부터는 경북농민사관학교 ‘천연식초 제조 및 상품화 과정’의 책임교수로 발효 식품 전문 인력 양성에도 힘쓰고 있다.
이명희 단장은 “농업의 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 스마트 농업기술 도입과 농업의 6차 산업화를 추진하기 위한 전문 인력 양성이 필수”라면서 “앞으로도 대학이 갖고 있는 전문성과 인프라를 적극 활용해 경북 농가 소득 증대를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
