대전교육청이 저소득층 학생 교육비로 총 209억 원을 지원하기로 했다. 이는 지난해보다 14억이 증액된 금액이다.

저소득층 자녀에게만 한정 지원되었던 현장체험학습비는 다자녀가구의 셋째이후자녀까지 지원범위를 넓혀 11,280여 명의 학생이 추가로 혜택을 받게 된다.
또, 현장체험학습비는 초등학생 15만원, 중학생 20만원, 고등학생 30만원 이내의 수학여행비를 인상해 실비로 지원한다. 코로나 상황을 감안해 학교에서 실시하는 소규모 현장체험학습 및 체험활동도 1인당 10만원까지 지원한다.
