브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 대통령 당선인의 배우자 김건희 여사가 오는 5월 10일 취임식에 참석할 것으로 보인다.
김은혜 당선인 대변인은 이날 서울 종로구 통의동 대통령직인수위원회에서 '취임식 때 김건희 여사가 공식 참석하느냐'는 기자의 질문에 "그 때 본격적으로 윤석열 정부가 국민께 공식적인 인사를 드리는 자리기 때문에 나올 수 있는지 가능성을 타진하고 있다고 들었다"고 밝혔다.
김 여사는 대선 기간에도 공식 석상에 참석하지 않았으며 대통령에 당선된다 해도 '영부인'으로서도 활동하지 않겠다고 밝힌 바 있다.
만약 취임식에 참석한다면 새 정부 시작과 함께 공식 석상에 첫 모습을 드러내게 되는 것이다.
앞서 박주선 대통령취임준비위원장은 지난 23일 김 여사의 취임식 참석 여부 질문을 받은 뒤 "그건 질물한 사항도 아닌 것 같다. 당연히 대통령 부인으로서 참석하는 것 아닌가"라고 답하기도 했다.
한편 윤석열 당선인은 대선 당시 '영부인' 호칭을 폐지하고 청와대 제2부속실을 없애겠다고 공약했다. 제2부속실은 영부인 의전과 연설 지원 등의 업무를 담당하고 있다.
