군에 따르면, 지난 3월 29일부터 임시조립주택 입주가 시작되어 8일 현재 27세대가 생활 중이며, 60동 이상 추가 설치되어 입주를 위한 막바지 작업이 한창이다.
울진군은 이재민들의 주거안정 지원과 더불어 마음을 위로하고 격려하기 위한 노력도 이어가고 있다.
임시조립주택에 생활 중이거나 임시 거처에 머물고 있는 이재민들을 수시로 방문해 불편사항을 청취하고, 울진군보건소 정신건강복지센터와 연계해 심리안정을 위한 상담을 계속 진행 중이다.
전찬걸 군수도 8일 소곡리 임시주거단지를 찾아 점검하고 민원을 청취했으며, 여전히 가장 많은 이재민들이 임시거처로 머물고 있는 덕구온천호텔을 방문해 보금자리로 돌아가지 못하고 있는 주민들의 아픔과 상처를 위로했다.
아울러, 전 군수는 기부 전시가 열리고 있는 덕구온천호텔의 송율갤러리를 찾아 관계자들을 격려했다. 송율갤러리는 개관식 축하화환을 대신해 쌀을 받아 이재민들에게 기부할 예정이며, 초대전을 열고 있는 지역 대표 작가인 홍경표 화백도 작품 판매대금을 일부 기부하기로 했다.
