브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 양향자 무소속 의원은 21일 검수완박(검찰 수사권 완전 박탈) 법안 처리 반대 입장문을 작성한 것과 관련 "강경파 모 의원은 (법안 통과 안되면) 죽는다고 했고, 다른 분한테서는 '문재인 청와대 사람 20명이 감옥갈 수 있다'는 말도 들었다"고 밝혔다.
양향자 의원은 이날 조선일보와의 인터뷰에서, 검수완박 반대 입장문을 자신이 작성했다고 밝히며 "법사위에 온 후 여러 번 회의를 했는데 말이 안 통했다. 질문도 많이 했는데, 민주당 내 강경파인 ‘처럼회’ 이런 분들은 막무가내였다"고 말했다.
그는 "제 입장문이 유출되니까 내가 국민의힘으로부터 과학기술정보통신부 장관 자리를 약속받았다고 하는 말까지 나오더라. 너무 황당했다"면서 "정치를 안 하는 한이 있더라도 국익을 위해 양심을 믿고 가야겠다고 생각했다"고 설명했다.

아울러 자신의 반대 입장이 알려진 이후 민주당이 법사위 소속 민형배 의원을 '꼼수 탈당'시켜 법사위 안건조정위의 심사 지연에 대비한데 대해선 "국회의원을 탈당시키는 발상에 경악했다. 정말 상상도 하지 못했던 일"이라며 "민 의원은 법사위에 새로 들어와서 '닥치고 검수완박'만 외쳤다. 민주당이 이런 식으로 통과시킨다면 국민으로부터 심판받아도 할 말이 없다"고 비판했다.
한편 민주당은 국민의힘이 법사위 안건조정위를 요구해 법안 심사를 지연시킬 것에 대비해 민주당 출신인 양향자 무소속 의원을 기획재정위에서 법사위로 사보임 시켰다. 그러나 양 의원이 반대하는 돌발 변수가 발생하자, 자당 민형배 의원을 탈당시켜 심사 지연을 다시금 봉쇄했다.
