브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 조원진 우리공화당 대표는 윤석열 대통령이 국회 시정연설에서 연금·노동·교육개혁의 의지를 밝힌데 대해 "이명박 정부의 노동개혁, 박근혜 정부의 공무원연금개혁을 주도하고 성공시킨 장본인으로서 진정으로 환영한다"고 말했다.
조원진 대표는 이날 보도자료를 통해 "급격히 변화하는 우리나라의 사회구조, 경제환경을 감안할 때, 연금개혁, 노동개혁, 교육개혁은 더이상 미룰 수 없는 시급한 과제이며 용기를 내서 결단을 해야 한다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
조원진 대표는 "박근혜 전 대통령은 누구도 해내지 못했던 공무원연금개혁을 통해 국민의 부담을 줄이고 미래세대에게 희망을 줬다. 또한 박근혜 전 대통령은 기득권층의 엄청난 반발에도 불구하고 공공·노동·금융·교육이라는 4대 개혁과제를 설정하고 중단없이 추진했다"면서 "새롭게 시작하는 윤석열 정부는 박근혜 정부의 개혁을 계승해서 반드시 성공해야 대한민국의 미래가 있다"고 강조했다.
조원진 대표는 또한 "개혁을 성공하기 위해서는 국민을 믿고, 원칙을 지키되 끊임없는 만남과 대화를 통해 사회적 대타협을 만들어내야 한다"며 "쉽게 이루려면 야합이 되고 그렇게 되면 개혁은 물건너 간다. 노동개혁과 공무원연금개혁을 성공시키기 위해서 거의 매일 새벽까지 반대편을 설득했던 기억이 새롭다"고 말했다.
