[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남도 보건환경연구원은 6월부터 9월까지 악취 민원이 지속적으로 발생하는 지역을 대상으로 도민이 쾌적한 생활을 누릴 수 있도록 악취 정밀조사를 실시한다고 밝혔다.
도내 사업장 주변 생활악취 민원의 발생건수는 2018년 2,156건에서 2021년 5,295건으로 2.5배 증가하였으며, 계절별로는 여름철에 집중되고 있어 악취 원인물질 및 발생현황 파악을 통한 악취저감 대책 마련이 시급한 실정이다.
도 보건환경연구원은 악취 발생 우려지역 5개 시·군 20여 개소를 대상으로 민원이 집중되는 여름철에 시·군 합동으로 해당시설을 점검 후 첨단분석장비(SIFT-MS)*를 활용하여 발생원 및 주변 피해지역을 중심으로 악취 유발 오염물질에 대한 실시간 이동 모니터링을 통해 발생원에 대한 저감 대책을 마련토록 할 계획이다.
