[브레이크뉴스=이성용자] 경남경찰청은 27일 오후 2시 경남경찰청 신관 대강당 회의실에서 어린이가 먼저인 교통문화 정착을 위해 ‘2022년도 경남녹색어머니연합회 정기총회 및 위촉식’을 개최했다.
이번 정기총회에서는 작년 한 해 동안 수고해 주신 전임 임원단에 대한 감사장 및 ‘2022년 신임 임원단’에 대한 위촉장을 수여하고, 최근까지 코로나19로 녹색어머니 운용에 어려움을 겪는 등 그간 활동 중 애로사항 및 향후 활동방향 등을 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.
녹색어머니회는 도내 272개 초등학교 학부모 20,087명이 참여하여 초등학생 등·하굣길과 각종 교통안전 캠페인 등에서 교통안전을 위해 봉사활동을 하고 있다.
신임 신유진 경남녹색어머니 연합회 회장은 “어린이 교통사고 예방, 안전한 등.하굣길을 만들기 위한 지도활동과 함께 교통안전교육 및 캠페인 등에 적극적으로 참여하여 전국에서 어린이가 가장 안전한 경남을 만들기 위해 녹색어머니가 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.
이상률 경남경찰청장은 “녹색어머니의 땀방울과 아이들을 소중하게 생각하는 어머니의 마음이 모여 어린이 교통사고가 감소하고, 어린이의 안전한 등·하굣길 조성을 위해 묵묵히 자신의 소임을 다하는 녹색어머니께 감사의 마음”을 전했다.
