브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 아시아나항공(대표 정성권)이 화물기로 한국 공군 특수비행팀 블랙이글스의 항공기를 실어 날랐다.
아시아나항공은 지난달 9일, 12일, 15일 총 3차례에 걸쳐 블랙이글스의 T-50B 항공기 9대를 영국 런던으로 운송했다고 4일 밝혔다.
공군은 이번달 영국에서 열리는 사우스포트 에어쇼와 판버로 에어쇼에 참가하기 위해 아시아나항공에 항공기 수송을 의뢰했다.
지난 2008년에도 T-50 훈련기를 수송해 본 경험이 있는 아시아나항공은 이번 수송을 위해 특수화물 운송 전문 인력을 꾸렸다.

T-50B는 동체 길이만 13미터가 넘어 통상적인 방법으로는 화물기에 탑재가 불가능하다.
아시아나항공은 B747 화물기의 NOSE DOOR로 불리는 전면부를 오픈해 탑재 및 하기를 진행했고, 탑재 장비와 크레인의 유기적인 조합을 통해 성공적인 운송을 마무리했다.
또한, 첨단 부품과 전자장비의 집약체인 T-50B에 영향을 최소화하기 위해 운송 시 동체의 수평 유지, 회전 방지에 많은 노력을 기울였다고 회사측은 설명했다.
아시아나항공 화물 부문 관계자는 "대한민국 공군의 위상을 제고할 항공기의 운송을 담당하게 되어 자랑스럽다"며 "이번 운송은 당사의 특수화물 운송 노하우를 집약한 것으로, 블랙이글스의 성공적인 에어쇼를 기원한다"고 밝혔다.
한편 아시아나항공은 그간 에어버스사의 항공기 날개, 한국-태국 동물원간 대규모 동물교환, 체리 등의 신선식품, 백신과 같은 온도 민감성 의약품 및 반도체 등 다양한 특수화물을 운송해왔다.
