브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 이랜드재단이 부산 진구청과 함께 하절기 노숙인 무료급식지원 및 조리실 개보수를 위한 기부금 전달식을 진행했다.
이번 전달식은 지난 26일 부산시 부산진구에 위치한 부산진구청에서 이랜드재단 정영일 경영고문, 부산진구 김영욱 구청장, 이랜드자산개발 최영호 대표이사 등 관련 임직원이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
기부금은 부산희망등대종합지원센터로 전달되어 거리 노숙인의 무료급식지원과 무료급식소 주방환경 개보수를 위해 사용될 예정이다. 노숙인에게 식사는 생존과 직결된 것으로 코로나19와 하절기 폭염까지 겹치면서 힘겨운 여름을 나고 있는 노숙인들에게 양질의 식사 제공이 가능해졌다.
이랜드재단 관계자는 “코로나19 장기화로 무료급식소 운영이 어려워지면서 식사 해결에 어려움을 겪는 노숙인들이 늘어나는 문제가 심각했다”며 “이번 지원을 통해 결식 예방과 건강관리를 위한 서비스 제공이 잘 이뤄지길 바란다”고 전했다.
한편, 이랜드재단은 복지의 사각지대에 놓인 노숙인들의 자립을 위해 주거복지사업인 노숙인지원주택사업과 긴급물품지원, 의류지원 등을 꾸준히 전개해오고 있다. 이랜드건설 역시 올해 4월 부산진구 서면 중심지에 부산 드림아파트 1호 사업장을 열며 지역사회 청년 주거 정책에 활발히 참여하고 있다.
